Stress and aging: holding your years, holding your tears

Stress varies in definition according to our experiences. How do you define stress then? Stress is a very uncomfortable feeling that increases your wrinkles and gives you undefined illnesses even science cannot determine. It is the strongest influence that will make you withdraw from the world or fight whatever it takes to get rid of it. It is a kind of to be or not to be Hamlet style because this will be the time that you will begin to lose your self confidence. Physiologically it affects body functioning such as altering pulse rate, blood pressure and the immune system or by changing hormone levels. Psychologically it makes you irritable and too sensitive to changes in functioning and emotions such as fear or anger.

So people don't get mad when somebody in the family is very irritable. Let the mood subside and maybe you can be of more help by listening to what is bothering him. When people are under stress they can't help to frown and shout. They are very irritable and believe me it will put you in a little risk from being shouted at if you just get out of their way. True that's true. Let them express their feelings and try to understand by not meeting fire with fire. This is especially true if you are dealing with older people or those who are suffering from diabetes. Illnesses or any pain that's making them uncomfortable will make them irritable too.

Although sometimes sensation of anxiety may be irrational and without an apparent cause they can be very stressful too. Pain is an internal source of stress like having a chronic back pain. We have an environment that is sending us stressors. The best way to counter stress is prayers and meditation. Meditate to keep your nerve calm then pray to help you get out of your stressful situation too. Nothing beats prayer but sometimes answers won't come on time or at times we need it most. Everything happens for a reason. Every event may have something to tell you or may have something to tell the other person. Stress can be eliminated if we let go of it and then lift everything to God.
