Managing outsource projects is never an easy task. There is the problem of cultural diversity, maintaining effective communication and making sure he shows up at the right time.
I have a great idea. Try to determine if your outsource worker maintains a website. Please try to ask him if he feels comfortable putting up a time and date world clock widget or html at his sidebar. If he is maintaining a blogsite then it can be placed as a widget at the bottom of the site. Still it is best to request him to show both your time and his time for proper coordination.
This solves it. No more counting of hours involve. It shows right there and he will perfectly know when to show up or not. Sounds good?
