Push for organ sales

An Australian kidney specialist suggested government should pay for up to $50,000 Australian dollars for kidney donations. He claimed that eliminating the law prohibiting selling of organs may overcome chronic shortage affecting lives of in care patients on organ waiting list. He said this will also stop people from going to third world countries to pay for black market organs and risky unregulated surgeries.

Donating someone’s organ needs a lot of emotional response because it impacts the lives and physical activities of the donors too. I support government regulation on organ commercialization to ensure high ethical standards and medical safeguards. I’ve read from same article that Philippines have announced that foreigners will be banned from receiving kidneys for transplant in an attempt to crack down on a thriving black market in organs sold by poor people. I was not aware of this and I was shock. Ignorance and lack of knowledge on what these poor people are doing may risk their lives more than the receiving patient. Money may come as a temporary relief for people living on poverty but it is never a good practice to take advantage on their social status and risk their lives in the future.

I see differently on these things. Everything happens for a reason. I’ve done an essay on organ transplant and I see that the need is growing for US and UK too. Maybe people should look at their personal lifestyle, nutrition and diet plan and manage sustained physical activities or exercise. Change is knocking on our doors and we need to know that if these organ sale are not regulated it will pose a threat to the lives of the million other healthy people.

What do you know about misery? We have different views on it. But how do you call on the emotions and sympathy of a person? You go to religious groups. There are people who wanted to donate things, services or maybe organs to give their lives a meaning. This could be a good way to fulfill both worlds: the donating person and the receiving person. Meeting in the doors of heaven and discovering what they lack in their lives. Once they find their meaning, strange events will lead them to help each other. We need to do more than just verbal prayers, we need to pray from the heart and find our own meanings that will lead to our cure which ever way it is, spiritual or physical, we will know it when we get there.

Sometimes we need to defray on human efforts and ask for the help of the Holy One who is always around and always hear us. Finding our meanings and finding the reasons is all up to us. We need to spend some time alone to think about high risk decisions. The balance of the ecosystem has been created before you were born. We need to understand what works and what does not work with humanity. Prayer is very important to discern what needs to be done and understand human limitations.
