Don’t use that nipple cream…

FDA warned women not to use nor purchase Mommy Bliss Nipple Cream marketed by MOM Enterprises Inc. at San Rafael, California. The cream helps soothe dry or cracked nursing mothers’ nipples. FDA found potentially harmful ingredients in the cream chlorphenesin and phenoxyethanol which may cause respiratory distress, vomiting and diarrhea in infants.

Although the company has stopped selling the creams, FDA has been advising consumers to stopped using the cream and to immediately consult a doctor in case any symptoms may appear. Mothers whose children have suffered adverse effects because of the product are requested to contact FDAs MedWatch at 800-332-1088.

If you have female friends nursing their babies please inform them about the cream. You may include the FDA number too.

Hi Shirley, Thanks for the comments on my Superstar blog (7 April !!!!! - I missed it!) which has in the meantime become a bit abandoned, but will keep as a backup! Anyway, I am leaving the URL links list entry there and have added your love-a-date link as requested, also to the similar list on my main blog.
Regarding Nipple cream.
Although not necessarily approving of the chemical content, I can, as a guy, offer a cream application service for this, provided that no-one tells either my wife, or their own husband.
