People are frantically looking for solutions in the net. They type words in the search box like: how to survive recession; how to cut household expenses; how to consolidate debt and how to file for unemployment. A lot of things can be found in the net but the number one thing that people should do is to seek God, reflect and pray.
We need inspiration for directions and God is the only person I can recommend that will greatly help you all throughout. You need the strength and a lot of motivation to face your creditors and find ways on how to go through to restructuring your loan. Accept reality and try to show some sense of responsibility by contacting your creditors and asking them for help or suggestions on how to solve your dilemma.
There are a lot of articles in the net that may prove useful but please don’t forget to settle down to the basic necessities of life. What I mean is that you learn to live by your means. Only swipe your card when the nature of the need is of necessity and try to cumber expenses that you can live without. Your aim is to spend your money wisely and stretch it to meet first the basic and most necessary expenses like house rental and utility bills.
Avoid going out to the malls. Browsing at the malls will tempt you to buy unwanted items. Food, gasoline and train tickets when accumulated can already pay out something from that pile of bills you stacked in your drawer. I am not telling you to bore yourself to death at home. Don’t you know that you got a lot of things to do at home? Clean your house and look at the spot that needs your attention like boxes of pictures or folders to file. Read the newspaper or browse the internet for work. I am sure there are still other companies looking for entry level jobs.
Yes, look at entry level jobs and try to meet the bills from the salary level you committed. It doesn’t matter if you were a high class executive before going down to an entry level job. What is important is that you bring food to the table and you have money to pay your loan and other house bills. You may look for grants or donations but the most important part is that you learn to accept your reality and put your pride in the waste basket. Show the people you are managing well by accepting even part time jobs. Work to tapped your talent and be happy looking for ways and means to get a job aligned to your hobby or talent.
I don’t believe you don’t have any skills or talent. Each one of us has at least one to keep us alive and that shall be used to make you survive recession. Out of work is never a problem if it opens another door of opportunity without regard to social status. Yes, forget social status and learn to live by your means. Everything is just right there within you. Get inspired living a simple life and never despair letting go of comfort. It will pass and you will be happier living a simpler one.
I for myself, is always at home working in my computer and going out on Sundays only to go to church and browse the malls. While at the mall I go to the bookstore and read on some books, eat with my girls and then head back home with the whole family. Prayer is the most effective form to combat stress, despair and recession. Don’t sleep without it. Remember it is 50% human effort and 50% divine providence. Always keep God inside your hearts anywhere anytime. You might see my life a bore but I am just this year away to completing my house and credit obligations. Be determined to succeed and believe that there is one God who is all willing to help you and you will succeed.
