Dash diet favors fruits, vegetables, whole grains, low-fat milk and plant-based protein over meat. Diet and exercise is the best way to prevent heart attacks. Research suggest that people should start thinking on getting to that diet even if they are healthy to take advantage of its important long term benefits. Greater emphasis should be on the way we live our lives and not to taking just pills to maintaining health. Live to the fullest and enjoy life by eating the right kind of food. You won't be able to enjoy it when you reach the age of 40 and be a tenant at the hospital for longer period of time. I realize that diet and exercise is really important and I hope the young ones get to realize their value too.
