You've got mail!

You've got mail! Which one do you have Yahoo or Google?

Yahoo Mail Plus offers unlimited storage and POP features to be able to collect your email in a different client at a cost of $19.99 a year. It also offers larger file attachments and additional filters. Actually what I see you are purchasing here is eliminating expiry and the confidence that you still have your account even for over 4 months of inactivity. Inactivity here means that you were not able to log in to your account despite of your account’s ability to receive incoming mails. Yahoo is clear on the expiry. Your account will be terminated if you are not using it for a matter of 4 months. No request will be entertained for mail retrieval thereafter.

Yahoo is my main email account but I am thinking of a major shift now. Google has more features than Yahoo and it is free. There are a lot of Google products that you may avail if you are a Google user. Besides pop features are readily available with the free Google account already while Yahoo offers it at the cost of $19.99. The only thing that Google needs to modify in its email account is the box like type folders that Yahoo has. These folders keep your emails in separate client accounts or filenames for storage convenience.

In lieu of this Google offers you labels. This is the only thing that’s keeping me from leaving Yahoo. There are no folders in Google where you may keep your files in different folders for convenience. I practically don’t want to see my files in an AllMail with labels only. Folders are better when it comes to housekeeping. This way I also get to tidy my inbox because all emails were moved to their respective folders. Google darling, when are you going to modify your email features and add folders like Yahoo does? You will be perfect for my loving when you do that.
