A simple saliva test may speed heart attack diagnosis. It was discovered that proteins in the saliva have the ability to classify potential heart attacks. A biochemist at the University of Texas at Austin had developed a nano-bio-chip sensor biochemically programmed to detect sets of saliva proteins that help determine if a person is at a high risk of having a heart attack. A person may spit into a tube for the diagnostic test. This saliva test could be used in conjunction with EKG. This is interesting. They may go for further studies on this. So let's just wait and see when the procedure is ready for us to try at the clinics.
