Going to the gym not only consumes your time but also consumes a part of your budget. It is suggested by the American College of Sports medicine (ACMS) and the American Heart Association (AHA) that adult age 18-65 years need only either moderate or vigorous-intensity physical activity for at least 5 days per week. Work on your way to the office or take your early morning run to achieve weight loss. Research shows that dieting along with moderate workouts may lose much weight than driving on intensity factors for long term weight loss. Effective physical activity and weight management relies more on consistency to whatever pace you exercise. This means that one should develop a pattern of exercise which they can perform regularly. To start your fitness program, do 30 minutes of moderate level exercise for 5 days a week first. This may more likely continue than going to the gym. Walk on your way to the office and use the stairs instead of the elevator or escalator inside buildings. This is a good cardio workout for you and it is free. If you feel that you can increase intensity a little then buy a treadmill to continue your walk at the very comforts of your home during weekends. The problem with modern day living is that people never get to use their limbs anymore. They rely more on hydraulics and mechanical comfort like elevators and escalators which never get them to sweat out. Once you develop shortened muscles other back pain problems may come in. So take the free road to exercise and live a healthy good life later.
